1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and ApexArena ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of the platform available at apexarenas.in.
By accessing or using the ApexArena platform — including registering for an account, submitting code, participating in quizzes or contests, or browsing any part of the site — you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the platform.
Note for minors: If you are under 18 years of age, you may use ApexArena only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
2. Description of Service
ApexArena is a free, browser-based Salesforce developer learning and practice platform. The platform is designed to help Salesforce developers, admins, and architects build hands-on skills without requiring access to a live Salesforce org.
2.1 What We Offer
ApexArena provides the following features and services:
- 300+ Salesforce coding challenges covering Apex triggers, batch classes, queueable and schedulable jobs, future methods, SOQL queries, LWC (Lightning Web Components) development, and formula fields.
- Browser-based code editor where you write Apex code and run automated test cases — no Salesforce org setup required.
- Timed knowledge quizzes with multiple-choice questions, instant scoring, and emailed score reports.
- Live coding contests with time limits and real-time leaderboard updates.
- XP and rank progression system that rewards consistent practice and achievement.
- Global leaderboard tracking top performers across the platform community.
- Embedded Salesforce reference documentation for quick lookup while solving challenges.
- LWC Playground for experimenting with Lightning Web Component code in the browser.
- Admin panel for platform administrators to manage challenges and users.
2.2 Platform Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform. Scheduled maintenance, updates, or unexpected outages may temporarily affect service. We will provide advance notice of planned maintenance where practicable.
2.3 Free Tier
Core features of ApexArena are provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce premium features or paid tiers in the future, and will provide reasonable notice to existing users before doing so.
3. Account Registration
To access most features of ApexArena, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information including your real name, a valid email address, your Salesforce role, and your experience level.
- Keep your registration information up to date. You can update your profile from the account settings page.
- Maintain the confidentiality of your account password and not share your login credentials with others.
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorised by you.
- Notify us immediately via our contact form if you suspect any unauthorised access to or use of your account.
You may only create one account per person. Creating multiple accounts to gain unfair advantages on the leaderboard or in contests is strictly prohibited and may result in all associated accounts being permanently banned.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
ApexArena is a collaborative learning platform and its integrity depends on all users participating fairly. When using the platform you agree to the following rules:
4.1 Prohibited Activities
- No cheating or academic dishonesty: You must write your own code for each challenge submission. Using solutions generated entirely by AI tools, copying solutions from other users, or any other form of dishonest submission undermines the learning purpose of the platform.
- No public sharing of solutions: Posting complete solutions to ApexArena challenges on public websites (such as GitHub, Stack Overflow, or social media) is prohibited, as it undermines the challenge integrity for other learners.
- No automated submissions: You may not use bots, scripts, automated testing tools, or any other non-human means to submit answers, earn XP, or manipulate leaderboard rankings.
- No abusive behaviour: Harassment, threats, hate speech, or abusive conduct directed at other users, ApexArena staff, or the community is strictly prohibited.
- No attempts to breach security: You may not attempt to access other users' accounts, manipulate the database, reverse-engineer the platform's test runner or scoring system, or conduct any form of security attack against the platform.
- No commercial exploitation: You may not resell access to the platform, scrape content for commercial purposes, or use ApexArena's content to build a competing product without our written permission.
4.2 Consequences of Violation
Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent ban from the platform, at our sole discretion. We may also remove any content, reset XP and rankings, or take other corrective action as appropriate. Serious violations may be reported to relevant authorities.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 Platform Content
All content on the ApexArena platform — including but not limited to challenge descriptions, quiz questions and answer options, reference documentation, UI design, graphics, logos, and the platform's code base — is the intellectual property of ApexArena or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any platform content without our express written permission.
5.2 User-Submitted Code
The Apex code, SOQL queries, LWC component code, and other submissions you write in the ApexArena code editor remain your own intellectual property. You grant ApexArena a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, execute, and evaluate your submissions for the sole purpose of running test cases and determining your score.
We will not publish, sell, or share your individual code submissions with third parties without your consent. Aggregated, anonymised data about submission patterns (e.g., which test cases most users fail) may be used to improve the platform.
5.3 Salesforce Trademarks
ApexArena is an independent learning platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Salesforce.com, Inc. "Salesforce", "Apex", "SOQL", "LWC", and related terms are trademarks of Salesforce.com, Inc. References to these trademarks are for descriptive purposes only.
6. Leaderboard and XP System
The ApexArena XP and rank system is designed to make learning engaging and to recognise consistent effort and achievement. Here is how the system works:
6.1 XP Earning
Experience Points (XP) are awarded when you successfully complete coding challenges and quizzes. XP values are generally based on difficulty:
- Easy challenges: 10 XP
- Medium challenges: 20 XP
- Hard challenges: 30 XP
- Quiz completion bonus: additional XP based on score percentage
- Contest placement: bonus XP for top finishers in live contests
6.2 Rank Tiers
Your rank tier is determined by your cumulative XP. The tiers are:

6.3 Leaderboard
The global leaderboard shows the top-ranked users by total XP. Your display name and rank tier are shown publicly. You can opt out of leaderboard visibility in your account settings, which will hide your profile from the public leaderboard while still tracking your XP and rank privately.
We reserve the right to remove or reset the XP and rank of any user found to have cheated, used automated submissions, or otherwise violated these Terms.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The ApexArena platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- Warranties that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components.
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or currency of the challenge content, quiz questions, or reference materials.
ApexArena is a learning platform and not a substitute for official Salesforce documentation or certification preparation courses. Passing challenges on ApexArena does not guarantee passing any Salesforce certification exam.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ApexArena and its owners, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
This includes, without limitation, loss of data, loss of profits, damage to reputation, or any other intangible losses. Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you to their full extent.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by submitting a request via our contact form. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if your use of the platform poses a risk to other users, the platform's integrity, or our legal obligations.
Sections 5 (Intellectual Property), 7 (Disclaimers), 8 (Limitation of Liability), and 10 (Governing Law) shall survive termination of these Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes to the platform, new features, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
- Send an email notification to all registered users.
- Where required by law, seek your explicit consent before implementing the changes.
Continued use of the platform after the revised Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance. If you disagree with any changes, you may close your account before the effective date of the revised Terms.
